1200 million light-years away and surrounded by 3 moons, Zorshia is a planet unlike any known to humankind. Beneath the dark and freezing surface, valuable crystals grow, heated by Zorshia’s plasma core. These precious formations have been infesting the deepest channels of Zorshia for billions of years, fueling the long-held tradition and economic sector of mining among Zorshia’s indigenous population.

After being warmed by Zorshia’s plasma core for three planetary revolutions (2790 days), Zorshians emerge from their eggs completely developed. We believe that roughly 3,500 eggs hatch on Zorshia each day. Upon hatching, it takes Zorshians roughly one day to acclimate to their cool environment and upon the mining of their first crystal, they are confirmed to their elemental clan—fire, earth, air, and water—predestined for them at birth. Their skin, horns, identifying characteristics, and psychological disposition mark their astrological star sign. Zorshians are allowed to keep their first and only their first mined gem as a religious icon and a connection to the stars. When Zorshians are no longer capable of mining, they find a place in the caves where they might hibernate until their bodies are consumed by crystal formations and sediment.

The Zorshian’s way of life revolves around astrological projection and star worship. They believe that their star signs and coinciding elements (our equivalent of fire, earth, air, and water) contain their life force and that the crystals they mine are vessels of the stars. Creatures of Zorshia are split into 12 ethnic groups based on the alignment of the stars at the time of their hatching. Zorshian’s physical attributes and psychological disposition depend entirely on their zodiac placement.

Despite the Zorshian’s beauty and belief system, they are cold, heartless beings, obsessed only with the priceless gems they mine and the luxurious fashion they exhibit. Arguably the most inexplicable realm of Zorshian culture is their infatuation with fashion and luxurious, avant-garde costuming. It is a complete mystery to our anthropology team how their species manufacture this impossibly rare couture. Zorshians seem to believe that the fabrics are gifts from the stars because nothing like it has ever been seen on Zorshia. However, our team hypothesizes that each clothing piece has been spun from crystal fragments and then dyed with Zorshian skin follicles due to the extremely limited resources on Zorshia.
