"Orange and Yellow" by Rothko, reimagined.
This work reflects Rothko's mature style, in which two or three rectangles are placed within a background that surrounds them all but gently separates them from each other. The edges of the rectangles are never sharp, which prevents an optical break and allows the viewer's gaze to move calmly from one area to another in a contemplative manner.
Rothko did not want us to think about him when looking at his paintings, so he tried to eliminate all traces of the creative process.
