"Barge Haulers" on the Volga by Iliá Repin, reimagined. The work depicts eleven men pulling a barge on the Volga River using a towrope. The towmen appear to be on the verge of collapsing from exhaustion due to the effort of pulling the barge. Repin considered it his first professional work.
