Yesterday, as the sun came out, the rays hit the fallen and dead pine needles. With just a tiny moisture around, the aroma, of which is very unique, automatically transported me to my childhood memories overseas in the forests. I wonder if they will build a separate gadget like a smell phone or integrate it into the cellphone with a “smell” function via an ultrasound vibration or in ear headphones… It could possibly be used for therapy for calming or it could be a diabolical downward slide… Patenting smells for profit, people selling “their smell”… Dating apps integrating smell of the person into the website or app? Masking of environmental violations with certain smells? If someone is paraplegic and can’t visit the ocean, may be a nice break from the current grim reality however.
