Many KOLs often say they spend around $200 to $300 /week to set up and maintain an OpenClaw agent. That cost usually includes infrastructure and the AI service provider.
But my experience is different.
I am building OpenClaw on AWS EC2 free tier. I use an Open Router API key, and my total cost is:
$7 per week...
The main model I use is Kimi k2.5. It is smart enough to handle most common DeFi skills (openclaw-acp, capminal skill...) and understand typical defi tasks without any problem.
The real barrier is not cost, it is whether you are willing to test, tweak, and learn. Do not let articles about high expenses stop you from exploring AI.
