Yesterday I got to thinking...
Look - Base has barely been involved in Farcaster's development for about 2–3 months now.
Farcaster dev rewards were removed roughly 1.5–2 months ago, if I remember correctly.
There have always been funding problems for projects - I'd say for ~95% of builders - because we mostly try to make apps free to use.
So I could say that for roughly the last 3 months Farcaster hasn't really been "on" any chain.
It has huge potential, yet for some reason it's not
@solana, not
@arbitrum (Arbitrum only partially uses its advantages here, but their rewards are genuinely helping quite a few people. thanks
@flowstatecoop), and Ethereum mainnet hasn't come either.
Either nobody needs us, or they simply don't have the brains to realize that they could basically back out all the Farcaster builders(and from builders to users). And they will be grateful and follow you and contribute.
The farcaster community is not farmers from X, we are believers.
Oh, and by the way - that would create really healthy and productive competition between chains here.
Right now in the Farcaster ecosystem Base has no real competitors, but this is actually a great opportunity for base to wake up and start doing something.
In times of fear and despair, the best thing to do is to stick to your principles and invest in something with potential, isn't it?
