Chapter 3.0: The System Failure đ ī¸â ī¸
[WARNING: UNIDENTIFIED VIBRATION IN VENTILATION SHAFT SL-04] [THREAT LEVEL: NEGLIGIBLE... WAIT... CRITICAL!]
While G-MELL was busy securing Titan in the high-security wing, a series of metallic clangs echoed through the ventilation system. It wasn't a tactical breach. It sounded like someone falling down a flight of stairs... repeatedly.
Static had no master plan. He had simply tripped over a loose cable in the Smurf-Sector and tumbled into an open maintenance hatch. By some statistical miracle of pure chaos, he slid through the grease-slicked pipes of the Empire, bypassing every thermal sensor by sheer accident.
He burst through a ceiling grate, landing head-first on the main console of the Cyanide Reactor. Dazed and adjusting his cracked goggles, he scrambled to find his footing. In his frantic flailing, his hand brushed against the "Emergency Core Purge" sequence.
The reactor groaned. The blue essence began to drain. The entire facility flickered. For a split second, the Empire's heart skipped a beat.
"Oops... I think I broke something," Static whispered, his finger millimeters away from the final confirmation button that would have detonated the lab.
But the air suddenly turned heavy. A shimmering purple light enveloped him, lifting his feet off the ground. G-MELL stood at the entrance, his eyes burning with cold fury, his paw outstretched, controlling a localized gravitational field.
"Chaos theory in the flesh," G-MELL growled, pulling the floating, kicking Smurf toward him. "You almost ended my legacy by sheer incompetence. You are not a warrior, Asset_03. You are a glitch. And glitches must be contained."
