I also feel grief because Puerto Rico’s (aka Borikén’s) coral reefs and bioluminesence are dying; fading fast from human-induced climate emergency driven warming, pollution, and coastal damage. Other drivers include continued US colonial settler illegal coastal development, underfunded infrastructure, US military amphibious drills on our beaches RIGHT NOW/HISTORICALLY, and the US drone strikes of working class fishermen (that they unilateral falsely of drug trafficking. This isn’t just local; it’s a frontline in the global fight against ecological destruction fueled by climate change and industrial greed. These are the miracles we lose when we don't offer reciprocal care to our environments.
