Saddened to learn of the passing of British war photographer and documentary filmmaker Paul Conroy. He did an incredible amount of work covering war zones and conflicts all over the world. I got to meet Paul during our last frontline run to Donbas back in November.
We met at the site of one of the russian strikes, when they attacked rescuers and firefighters with glide bombs. Paul was one of the journalists who arrived immediately to cover it.
Later, we all ended up at the same dinner with a group of war reporters and photographers, and I learned more about Paul’s fascinating work. I ended up reading his book when I returned to the U.S. and watched the documentaries he made in Ukraine 🤍🙏
