Gonzales has dodged questions about their relationship, the Express-News reported, citing the anonymous fellow staffer, who no longer works for the congressman's office. Gonzales faces challengers Keith Barton, Francisco Canseco, and Brandon Herrera in the Republican primary for Texas' 23rd Congressional District on March 3, 2026.
