this is something I say to my acting students but I think it applies to all professions,
to be successful, you must invest your time in two different buckets,
1) you must be very good at what you do.
2) people must know that you exist.
if you invest all of your time in either of those buckets, you will not succeed.
if you are very good at what you do but no one knows that you exist, you will not succeed.
if everyone knows that you exist but you’re no good at what you do, you will not succeed.
I see too many wonderful actors focus on the first and not the second.
I see too many terrible actors focus on the second and not the first.
all we have is now.
choose how you invest your time.
