krishna said something in the gita that rewired how i think
live your truth,
even if you're bad at it.
it's better than being perfect at someone else's.
read that again.
we spend so much time copying paths that worked for others.
their morning routines.
their portfolios.
their frameworks.
their playbooks.
and
we get good at it.
really good. at being them.
but that's the trap.
perfection in imitation is still betrayal. you're just betraying yourself quietly.
the messy, stumbling, uncertain version of YOUR path will always beat the polished version of someone else's.
because no one can fulfill your destiny except you.
krishna's point is wild when you really sit with it - he says he breathed spirit into each of us differently.
on purpose. by design.
so comparison isn't just unhelpful.
it's a misunderstanding of the assignment.
you weren't sent here to be a better version of someone else.
you were sent here to be the only version of you.
tend your own garden ser.
stop looking over the fence.
the compass is inside.
it's been inside the whole time.
consult it.
adjust course when needed. but keep walking YOUR walk.
even when it's slow.
even when it looks nothing like theirs. even when you're not sure it's working.
fulfillment doesn't reward the perfect journey.
it rewards the authentic one.
here's something that's been sitting with me:
the most certain people are usually the most wrong.
there's this weird thing called depressive realism.
the idea that people with depression actually see the world more accurately than everyone else.
no rose-tinted glasses. no it'll work out hopium.
just the thing as it is.
sounds like a superpower right?
it's not.
because seeing clearly and having the energy to do something about it are two different games.
the depressed see through the delusion.
but they meet each moment without fuel. without fight. clarity at the cost of aliveness.
meanwhile the delusional? they're out there building. shipping. failing. trying again. wrong about almost everything. but alive enough to course correct.
the gift of clarity becomes a curse when it kills your will to move.
and the curse of optimism becomes a gift when it keeps you in the arena long enough to learn.
the realistic ones? they live somewhere in between.
no fantasies. no dreams. just a faint pulse that says not yet.
that pulse is everything.
protect it. feed it. don't let clarity kill it.
seeing the world clearly means nothing if you're too hollow to participate in it.
most people aren't broke.
they're just loyal to a version of themselves that doesn't exist anymore.
old identities.
old stories.
old rooms full of people who need them to stay small.
you've changed isn't an insult.
it's the whole point.
the environments that kept you safe at 22 will suffocate you at 30.
the beliefs that protected you when you had nothing will block you when you're ready to have something.
fear builds walls.
not wealth.
i've watched people with every advantage stay broke because they couldn't let go of who they used to be.
and
i've watched people with nothing stack because they refused to let their past define their ceiling.
the bag isn't the hard part.
killing the old you is.
that's the real portfolio rebalancing no one talks about.
before 2025 ends do read this - let your gifts shine their own rewards ✨
we spend way too much time chasing validation from the outside - the awards, the money,
the titles, the recognition.
but here’s the thing - your real value? it’s not something someone else gives you.
it’s already there, inside you.
it shows up when you bring your unique gifts into the world.
when you create something, when you contribute,
when you serve - that’s the reward. that’s it.
if nobody claps immediately,
who cares.
keep going.
stay locked in on the fact that what you’re doing matters.
your voice matters.
your talent matters.
don’t let the world’s timeline dictate your creative process.
be patient, but keep planting seeds that feel right to your soul.
water your purpose without demanding instant results.
everything has its season. what you’re building right now might bloom in ways you can’t even imagine yet.
but understand this at your core - just by being fully,
unapologetically yourself, you’re already making this world better.
that’s the ultimate win.
your light deserves space to shine just because it exists.
so believe in your value, trust the process,
and
everything else will fall into place when it’s meant to.
as we step into 2026,
remember - the work you’ve been putting in doesn’t expire with the calendar year - it compounds.
The Big Man looked at my browser history and decided to let me in anyway. 💀

your scars are badges of honor,
telling tales of battles fought and won.
they're proof that you've faced the worst
and
emerged victorious.
wear them with pride,
for they signal that the darkest chapters are behind you,
and
a brighter future lies ahead.
we're strange creatures, aren't we?
given peace, we chase chaos.
offered simplicity, we crave complexity.
truth is, humans get bored with - just being happy.
we're addicted to drama, mistaking chaos for excitement and uncertainty for adventure.
we'll sabotage perfectly good things just to feel that rush of something different.
like picking at a healed wound, we create problems where none exist
- not because we love pain, but because we fear the quiet of contentment.
funny how we run from the very peace we claim to seek.
perhaps it's time we learned to dance with stability instead of always chasing the next emotional storm.
