I think a big part of having “taste” is knowing how you specifically feel about things
does your context create…
1) emotions? sadness, anger, happiness, fear?
2) relational feeling? dismissed, welcomed, respected, trusted?
3) core emotions? alone, worthless, hopeful, powerful?
“Be present with what’s present while placing the emphasis—the accent mark, a glowing attention—on your being the one who is present with this feeling. In other words, be the observer knowingly, steadily, wakefully.”
lesson to my future kids:
“outcomes cannot give you what you want”
investigate this deeply
notice how attaching to outcomes has worked out for you. has it been effective?
see through it!
