openclaw is basically an ai companion for tech ppl the hype is just excitement about a new friend and it's understandable bc it's more fun to build things w friends

reflections on building @marqui which is launching in beta next week to the first testers ———————————— a good agent will eventually be part of every product experience. right now most products don’t have one. so tools like claude code are filling that gap, acting as a kind of general purpose agent that can interact with lots of different tools and environments. but claude code is optimized for a pretty specific set of tasks like coding, files, terminals, and developer workflows. there are still a lot of things it is not designed to do well like product specific workflows, domain expertise, persistent context, or social systems. that leaves a lot of room for new agents to be built. in the long run, the best agents probably will not live outside products. they will be built directly into them. until that happens, general agents will keep acting as the bridge.
