The last big MMA event of the year is almost here: Petr Yan vs Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 323. Yan relies on clean boxing, sharp counters and disciplined distance management. Merab brings constant pressure from the first second, mixing unorthodox striking with nonstop wrestling attempts. Key questions: can Yan stop the chain-wrestling and hold the center, and can Merab survive the exchanges without eating clean shots. It’s also worth noting that Merab defended his title four times this year, and it’s unclear how well he recovered before this fight. @polymarket odds favor Merab, and overall I also lean his way, but I’m considering betting on Yan — he still has a real shot here. His takedown defense is better than Sandhagen’s, he hits harder, and Merab’s last fight showed that he can be wobbled.
