There is a fairly strong inclination to turn social applications into a platform for tradable assets, as if they were a DEX or a CEX, but they are far from becoming one, both
@farcaster and
@baseapp.base.eth.
The social aspect is practically the strong point of all these applications. I don't disparage the work of the Farcaster wallet, which is well done—the truth is that it's great. But that's all it is, a wallet, not a DEX for trading.
Isn't it ironic? Farcaster wanted to put the social aspect aside a little and stop rewarding creators, and what happened?
Farcaster was left like a desert, and the same will happen to Base. Instead of eliminating it, they should improve it and integrate both aspects, social and operational, but it seems that there is no desire to do so, because there should be funds available.
