Sharing two important updates that were posted to X earlier today:
1. Foundation has been acquired by Blackdove, allowing the marketplace to continue operating as part of their platform.
2. We’ve made the difficult decision to wind down Rodeo.

Mad respect to @dwr and @v for having the courage to confront hard truths.
We 100% bought into the vision of a decentralized graph and built Rodeo explicitly on top of Farcaster to find our first hundred users.
The strategy worked and we were able to bootstrap an engaged, healthy community that's still with us today.
The reality though is that this strategy stopped working for us many quarters ago. Mainstream consumers aren't here. And there's no signs that they're coming. Existing networks are entrenched and there's no obvious social lever that's going to change that equation.
Leaning into the wallet makes sense, even if it’s a significant departure from what we envisioned initially. Pragmatism is the only path forward.
Context:
- We're a small team with extreme focus.
- We primarily market on IG and TikTok, which is where most creators live.
