One more thought for the evening: I disagree with Dario here… while engineer + AI is powerful, the job the engineer is doing (defining endpoints, success, etc & ofc troubleshooting the blob of slop you so easily wind up with if you’re not careful) is a fundamentally different sort of thing than the lookup & evaluate tasks the AI does. I think it’s important to note that there are two ways to outperform in this market: speed and quality; both are improved more by operator virtue than training/compute/central investment at this point. The heads of the industry never talk about this…

Thoughtful writing! Honestly I do have one point to raise here: the place feels alive to me still. People do see issues and those are in fact real and yet it still works great and does amazing things and yes what an upheaval but in the end it’s an ethical platform because of its crypto rails and the rest of the world cannot be forced to figure out why that makes it better… so I empathize with the VCs and Dan and V but in the end the fact that the growth metrics didn’t work out doesn’t mean the platform is a failure, it’s instead an indication that the lifestyle and interactions we have here are just not going to go mainstream the way Facebook did because Facebook didn’t have to compete with Facebook. In the end Farcaster can stay niche forever and if it does, I probably won’t ever really have a cause to leave. Maybe the scaling expectations themselves are the problem and if we could just learn to enjoy what we have here we could learn to just be *fine* with that because this is a breeding ground for ideas and a niche where idea people can thrive.

I’m not shocked… I ended up running claude code in terminal again after opus4.6 - had a ton of bugs slowing me down w the openclaw installation and I guess I probably won’t use it anymore bc I can do everything and more with just normal claude code

Trading & burns basically push you up the bonding curve with activity, speculative interest of even a small amount eventually gets rewarded, dumpers get to take their big fat poos all over your charts and you don’t have to be mad about it, because each cycle causes the supply to shrink, which signifies value & makes the next cycle more likely to occur Nice to see the crypto space finally taking the absurd amount of degrees of freedom that came in with memecoins and refining its strategy, sacrificing a bit of range for expertise Really enjoying learning about Flaunch’s mechanics. Clanker is also really good; it’s essentially a more open Flaunch. Flaunch is maybe doing things Clanker doesn’t, but with v4 Uniswap hooks I think you can get mostly there even if the Clanker in question is a v1 Gn web3
