I admit that I haven't been frequenting farcaster (for many months now). In fairness, I had generally removed myself from all social in order to focus my time on world-building.
So, now I'm seeing that Farcaster is under new ownership. I'm encouraged seeing this in Neynar's blog on the direction:
"Farcaster thrives on builders of all kinds - software, art, music, literature."
What is the best way to stay current on the direction of Farcaster and participate in those discussions? @manan@rish
Played a game of Terraforming Mars in open gaming at WBC. All great players. Wild 3-way tie with the win going to the person with the money. I can't recall how many generations it went, but not many (as evidenced by the score). Base + Venus + Preludes. FUN game.
For those looking for new music (not really new, but likely one you haven't heard). 🙂 This is their only album (that I’m aware of)…and it’s pretty damn great. This is one that I continue going back to, pretty much in its entirety.

Got to play SETI for a second time. It’s official - I love it. Love how thematic it is. Oumuamua & Centaurians are great alien races too. Highly recommend. I’m going to make a predication and say that it will make the WBC tournament list next year. Haven’t been this into a new game since Ark Nova.
Looking for some games for non-gamers? Check out The Gang and Decrypto. Decrypto is a better Code Names and The Gang is a cooperative Texas hold’em (which was actually a lot of fun)
Got to try out Harmonies. Pretty game, enjoyable, and has similarities with Cascadia. Pretty sure I’ll pick it up and play it with my daughter. I think she’ll love it.
Great game of Amun Re. Lost by 2. I still enjoy this game (I don’t play it often). If everyone knows how to bid well, this game hums…if they don’t, the play experience can be rough (the major downside of the game). This was fun, though
Played a couple tournament rounds of Agricola. I was randomly sat at the same table as one of the top players. The man is a beast. 2nd game was close, but also just a lot of fun to play. I continue to appreciate how different each play can feel. @wakkin tagging the other Agricola super fan. 😉
First day at WBC. San Juan and Agricola are on the schedule for today. Already got beat at San Juan, and I usually don’t make it far in Agricola, but still enjoy playing. Tomorrow - the first rounds for both Ark Nova and Terraforming Mars!
A friend came into town last night and he taught me SETI. There is a lot going on in this game, so I'll need a couple more plays before I have an opinion on the game mechanics...but I loved it thematically (the rotating center, the actions like launching probes, gaining publicity, improving tech, sending out signals into space, and discovering alien races that add additional mechanics mid-game...yeah, count me in!
Any farcasters going to WBC (World Boardgaming Championships) this next week? If so, let's meet up! They even have t-shirts (from last year) in Farcaster purple (@dwr@v - let me know if you want me to pick you up one 😉)
I'll be casting throughout the week with photos and videos from the con.
Another session of Familiar Things is a wrap (the kids are having a BLAST)! This one started with some miniature painting, and then more familiar adventures. This time, they ventured to the apothecary where they encountered Zymerwerwit's pet baby beholder (who was delighted to have visitors).
Some terrain stuff from Origins Game Fair for @cris. Nemesis board game upgrade was pretty cool. I kept passing the big ship scene, and thought it looked like a fun encounter/scenario. The other was (I think) a Call of Cthulhu event.
