Farcaster’s path forward: The right balance of decentralization vs. growth
Our goal is to build a sufficiently decentralized protocol. By the end of this month, we will add a new independent validator operator and open-source a snapshot of the mobile client.
But we learned a big lesson at Merkle: “decentralization” alone doesn’t make a social network grow. If user ownership doesn’t come with user growth, it’s just an empty decentralized network.
Our vision is clear: Farcaster will be a place where—
