i really enjoy thinking when i want to and i think i enjoy it even more now that i'm better at shutting down the nog' when i don't want to. it's like having better fuel economy or sth. definitely less noise
i think resilience is better than hope
if you are confident in your ability to manage any outcome, you don't become so attached to how you think or hope the future "should" be
this might have the added benefit of allowing you to focus on what you're grateful for in the present rather than dwelling on the fictional futures in your mind
