Alchemist wasn't a fighter or a hacker. He was an artist, a master of flavors, and in the grim future of Neo-City, that meant bio-alchemist. His plan: a unique myco-virus, disguised as a highly potent nutrient paste, designed to rapidly degrade G-MELL's lab's primary energy conduits. A savory sabotage.
He managed to slip past the outer defenses, his custom-built, insulated cyber-gastronomy suit blending with the industrial exhaust fumes.
With nimble fingers, he began injecting his vibrant, glowing green fungal concoction into the power relays. The virus began its work, rapidly multiplying, threatening to starve the Garga-M.E.L. facility of its lifeblood.
"Taste this, G-MELL! A dish best served... cold and crippling!" Alchemist whispered to himself, a triumphant glint in his eye.
Suddenly, a high-pitched whine filled his comms. A command, overriding his suit's internal systems, rewrote his cyber-stomach module.
His augmented digestive system, usually a marvel of efficiency, began to emit agonizing hunger signals. The craving was overwhelming, primal, unbearable. His hands, usually so steady, trembled violently.
G-MELL's voice crackled in his ear, devoid of amusement. "Your 'sabotage' is... inefficient, little cook. But your biological enhancements interest me. I have merely redirected your internal processors. You are starving. And you will remain so until you comply."
Alchemist collapsed, clutching his cyber-stomach. The hunger was a gnawing void, amplified to unimaginable levels. His vision blurred.
He couldn't fight it. He couldn't even think. He had to eat. And the only thing within reach was his precious myco-virus... or rather, the antidote G-MELL had subtly synthesized and disguised as a nutrient paste, knowing Alchemist's weakness.
With a desperate whimper, Alchemist consumed the "antidote," unwittingly deactivating his own attack and rendering himself compliant.
