I have said it many times and continue to believe, Defi and remittance would be the only major use case of blockchain.
Recent improvements in Neo bank domain are a solid example of this, cross border transfer, instant, cheap compared to banks, and less Middleman.
Ready and Gnosis Pay is leading the charge among other Neo bank provider
Yesterday marks the closer of Optimism Season 8 Governance cycle and after holiday season 9 begins with new changes.
One thing I would like to see more is focus on interoperability, The idea of superchain is just a fancy BD terminology without it. Solving liquidity fragmentation should be one of the major goals for the upcoming season.
In case you have any ideas, please do share them.

I fail to understand the culture of promoting working late on days like Christmas and new year where one should be hugging their loved ones.
if you're a founder and doing same, I hope your competitors wins.
happy holidays.
When the dGen phone was announced I was excited to finally support an actual blockchain centric product with a use case and slick design but so far I haven't received my dGen1.
After waiting for more than 6 months, I contacted @markus and because of a technical issue my address was not captured in the DB.
Those who have the phone, how is the experience?
I continue to believe stablcoin transfer and defi is the only use case of blockchain.
A quick search suggests the average cost of sending remittances is around 7% of the transfer amount and only expected to grow.
banks are costly, could deny service, hold your fund and time consuming though recent digital banks are faster
remittance and stablecoin transfer on blockchain is the solution.
cheaper, instant and without any boundaries.
One thing I miss about the old farcaster is client diversity.
@woj was building a farcaster client
@slokh reddit style client was also coming out quite well
I also remember watching a demo of someone building a discord style client.
There were a lot of things to try and do, I wish we get to see many more oss clients.
I love everything about FileVerse and what they are trying to achieve.
They support SIWE, only internet and mobile / laptop is required.
Notion but privacy preserving.

Tron always seems to be an underdog in the west, no ongoing campaign, point farming, conference or engagement farming of any kind and it continues to gain tranction every cycle.
How do you motivate others to migrate app ?
For example, I want to motivate my friends to use the Session app for messaging.
It does not require a mobile number, fully open source and privacy preserving but attachment of whatsapp is hard to break.
Tips ?

Whether it was intentional or simply a mistake to label an address as a “CA,” only their team knows. But they certainly understand how a plain address can be interpreted as a tradeable token inside their own app.
Farcaster is still early, and making mistakes is part of the process. As genuine users, we just want to participate in the evolution of the Farcaster ecosystem.
I don’t have any real “skin in the game” beyond my motivation to support a sufficiently decentralized social platform. I’ve been on Farcaster for a while now, and how this whole situation was handled makes me sad.
L2 got plenty of debate, with pros and cons on both sides.
But Ethereum alignment mostly matters to blockchain native folks.
Everyone else doesn’t care if it runs on Ethereum, Solana, or even Cardano, they just want an app that works, even if it’s niche and only loosely tied to blockchain.
That’s why I think the Tempo ICO might be the biggest thing Ethereum’s seen yet and sadly the alignment crowd will likely pile in.
anyone here know how to find wallet/email associated with a paragraph account ? dont remember which method i used to create my handle there and seems there is no way to reset password.
Every time I have to use Solana, it reminds me how far Wallets are in ethereum space.
Rabby and Coinbase wallet made a lot of improvement but UX is far better on Phantom.
I was once highly optimistic about the Optimism project. focus on scaling Ethereum + dedication to supporting public goods were compelling, and their DAO continues to be one of the best in the market.
Initially, there were very few L2s. But now, we now have more than ten protocols fighting for the same liquidity, and in this environment, I see Optimism beginning to lag behind its competitors.
couple of hurdle -
- Superchain Concept: The Superchain initiative sounds good conceptually, but without interoperability, it simply adds no value and creates an endless loop of bridging.
- Lack of Native Applications: The ecosystem suffers from a lack of compelling native applications.
Declining Metrics -
- Stablecoin supply is decreasing.
- Chain revenue has dropped by approximately 70% over the last year.
