Since my Twitter is now a Japanese concert marketing page I'll be using Farcaster to talk more openly about my thoughts on crypto lately. In the last 6 months - 1 year I've developed a very different relationship/perspective on crypto traders. There's a somewhat selfish dialog or perspective that you're somehow owed something for trading new memecoins or interacting on new chains or just being active onchain in general. But despite this - the intention (for the most part) is simply to be able to make a lot of money fast by flipping coins in a way that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world. I respect this hustle a ton - it's how I built my early career out of college and gave me the foundation to do everything I'm doing now. But what triggers me is the expectation that you are owed any kind of support from any kind of figurehead for something that clearly lacks any remote amount of longevity or substance. This is why the rest of the world doesn't take crypto (or more memecoins) seriously.

My favorite part of Farcaster is no long how long you step away for you can always come back here and expect people with a deep understanding of coins and onchain trends to be locked in and ready to go

My entire feed is telling me its time to lock in on crypto again...

I am so thankful for life and Farcaster and everything crypto has done for me I might not say it enough lately but know that being onchain really did change my life and allow me to do all the crazy things I’ve wanted to try Literally would not be here without this space

The FC acquisition definitely feels bittersweet One on hand I have so much respect and empathy for Dan + Varun for grinding out the vision for an onchain social app + protocol for 5+ years when no one believed in it I also have a lot of love for Neynar and think it’s the best possible outcome for the torch being carried on by someone who’s been all in on FC since the day I joined The sad part is that there really just aren’t enough real people who care about using a crypto social app today and as a result the only reality is to build for traders who are here today I am extremely proud of all the time and energy I’ve put into building a profile and a brand on this network - and I’d be lying if I didn’t say this news makes it feel like the likelihood of it going beyond crypto anytime soon it probably not going to happen That being said - I’m really curious to see where FC goes from here and am very supportive and stoked about the direction the whole network has gone the last 6+ months with some really strong acquisitions and hires Let’s see what happens!

Love to see $drb getting some shine Always good to see tokens with great organic support from the FC community outperforming most of the market I am sidelined but happy for everyone who holds it here!!
