I post this as a βnormieβ in the space that has a creator coin but havenβt posted any art on Zora as Iβm yet to see a way of utilising the platform without it feeling extractive.
I think people should have the option to like a post without having to buy someoneβs creator coin.
Maybe itβs my lack of knowledge and pessimism intertwined.
This is something I have noticed.
The vast majority (if not all) of the successful creator coins are heavily affiliated with Coinbase in one way or another.
The more Iβve observed the creator coin meta as time has gone, the more I end up thinking itβs a grift that only benefits the platform and base βcabalβ.
Thereβs a big push for onboarding but I see nothing that incentivises retention.
Take off those rose tinted specs and youβll see how many red flags are flying in the carnival.
