I'd recommend for you to check on the other nominees too; A lot of them bring serious heat to the award 🤌
First shot of ligatures for Mekzantine font. As expected the legibility suffers with the one-box-rule.
I'm keeping it though since I think it still fits nicely into the theme despite the readability flaw.
Need some more tuning to make this nicely monospaced; I'd probably need to find some outlandish solution to make the "i", "L", "t" more monospace-friendly later on.
v1 (top) might be too bulky, looks okay on individual letter, but will be messy combined altogether.
v2 (bottom) is an attempt to reduce noise, minimise base width for a more-manageable kerning tuning later on.
