@dwr one side project I once worked on was a chat app that allowed you to toggle between public and private mode. Would be really fun to be able to have a public group chat that manifests as a mini app for people to peer in on when its live.
I don’t think the code is quite cracked yet but it’s clear that Farcaster leaning into crypto financialization was absolutely the right strategic move.
Horrible take . They had the greatest product of all time 17 years ago and haven’t innovated since besides airpods. Using halo effect revenue numbers doesn’t change that. Apple is washed.
1 million DAU on the Helium network yesterday. Probably many people on @farcaster at a local restaurant without even knowing it! Let’s see what these numbers look like for Saturday….
@dwr Pods is by far the best mini app. It's the first time Farcaster has explicitly done something better than X at its own game. Continuing to scroll while a Youtube plays is amazing on desktop. Just need that 2x speed...
