A good example of "designing in prod" from the last week:
we shipped a very rough v1 of invoicing to prod in a few days. Initially we were not super happy with it, but the point was to get the working code to prod, even if it needed some polish.
We got some feedback, tried it ourselves, and spent the next few days polishing the UI to something we were all much happier with.
Before and after here:
We're rolling out our new Invoices feature over the coming days! Short demo here, barebones to start but we'll be building on it quickly. Feel free to message me or @abram to get it turned on for your team.
can someone tell me if this exists:
I want a good, AI-native calorie/macro tracking app that is specifically oriented around training. I want it to also help me track and understand my workouts, the effect of my eating on performance, and vice versa.
Does this exist? none of the fitness trackers I've tried have great meal tracking, and none of the food trackers have great fitness tracking
At @splits, we try to use AI to make ourselves both stronger and more efficient at building product. We've written some claude commands that save me a lot of time, so I thought I'd highlight some of them below. And would love to hear if you have commands that you use often at work not listed here.
when FC first released collectible casts, the reason I thought it was interesting was that it's a form of commerce embedded directly in a cast. that direction feels much more interesting / useful than "collectibles".
someone should make an LLM VC which has a form where founders input info about their company, product, traction, reputation, etc., and then it decides whether or not to fund them. kinda curious if it outperforms the median VC.
It's the easiest way to interact directly with an Ethereum contract.
1. enter contract address
2. select a function
3. fill in params
Here's me registering an FID by calling the FC idGateway contract
