Of all the skills we were taught in gradeschool, the one I use most today, especially since incorporating AI into my work is filed under “Identify how one of these things is not like the others”, AKA “What’s wrong with this picture?”

Building my energies. This afternoon, I tucked fresh shiitake mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 and brown lentils because they best keep their shape 🫘 with mushroom broth and 🧅 in the instant pot then disappeared on a long walk. Returned home and the 🥣 is so good. I garnished with a dollop of vegan butter 🧈 Phenomenal. I’m having the confetti angel food birthday cake for desert. Yes, with vanilla bean ice cream. Feeling satisfied like a cat before I sit down to create goes a long way towards a peak artist experience. I’ll be back wif pics.

Day 01 of new rituals. My birthday was yesterday and my overall takeaway is I’m thrilled to be alive and under greatly auspicious circumstances, however fragile they may seem. Due to market conditions, I’ve authorized a continuation of the official celebration of my birthday, even today a day after the historical fact—with this angel food cake. Yes, it has the confetti. No, it’s not good for me. That’s the point. 🍰

I wrote and performed a phenomenal poem. It’s going to travel with me all over the world, as I perform it on stages across the globe. It’s called “GoodBye”.

Bday + 1 day = Day 01 Day 0 was a teachable experience. Here’s the takeaway: Even with low to “no” expectations, certain outcome can STILL feel disappointing. Resolution: Attempt the most scintillating (however ostensibly impossible) peak experiences daily for optimal outcomes daily. Don’t even question if it’s achievable by you; it is. Electing what scintillates over what seems “achievable based on history” is a commitment to whatever growth is required on your part as you lean in. The energy that flows to those who make this commitment is elegant and shows up in many ways. “I make the commitment; I am elegant in my methods, because I know the outcome.”

I’ve been so mean, not showing you any of the (digital) ass or fabulous titties I’ve been sketching. 😆 Still dialing in all the elements for this collection of old world but new flesh charcoal nudes collection I iterated on a plane from the desert to Miami to spend some time with my favorite artists. I thought I was gonna have this thing done a week ago, but it just hasn’t come together in a way that feels finished to me. However it pained me not to enter it into the call for art for NFT Paris, I’m sure it’s all to the good; I didn’t have the branding for the collection ready to my taste. One of the things I love about myself is: I stand by even my earliest works with pride, and the reason I can do that is because I don’t put out anything until it’s truly ready and I really fully love it. That said, here’s an amuse bouche: currently still a WIP…

Say what you will about plant-based egg that we hydrate with water or nut milk but the chickens approve.

Once any sort of cheese or sauce is added, the dish won’t really be visible. We all know what good cheese on an omelette looks like (totally subjective 😆) so wanted to show off the first bite without the sauce. Truly flavorful and hits the spot but wouldn’t have fooled my grandmother like some of my other eggless dishes. These will be amazing topped with a blanket of wafer thin sliced avocado; I’ve got one perfectly ripe. See you on the other side!

Awwww yeah. About to jump into spicy town. It’s Thursday and that means a community call. Long gone are the days I felt comfortable joining a community for real for real just based on founders vibes. Most founders are lead by their vision and not by their community. It was a hard and expensive lesson to learn; but the wisdom is mine now. Founders are fallible. Community calls are a better temp check than some list of achievements. Listen to how they talk to each other. How good natured are they when arguing with each other? Is arguing encouraged? Or do dissenters get shut down? These things all take time to discover. The money that you spend on a PFP you can always get back but the time that you invest in a community that you later discover is not aligned in a way that is meaningful to you. It’s a kind of investment you don’t want to find yourself upside down in. Definitely: Worthwhile to lock in and prospect for a while before contributing deeply/regularly to a community in a meaningful way.

It’s true though.
