CMV: 99% of broad claims people make about cities based a quick visit are anecdotal BS. People say things like "I was just in [NYC, SF, Austin...]" and "it's totally dead, there was this one street with all the shops closed" or "it's so back, everyone's working on something cool there" Never sounds reliable to me
