Base Batches - Demo Day 2025
is a significant event showcasing early-stage startups and builders who have participated in the Base Batches program. This program is designed to help innovators transform their ideas into products and viable businesses. The Demo Day serves as a platform for these teams to present their progress to a curated audience of investors, including venture capitalists, angel investors, and accelerators, as well as to a broader audience interested in emerging technologies and businesses.
Program Structure and Participants
The Base Batches program features two main tracks:
* Startup Track: This track is for existing teams that already have live products and are ready to scale. Teams in this track receive hands-on mentorship and a platform to raise money and gain wider distribution.
* Builder Track: Aimed at pre-product teams and early-stage builders, this track involves participation in a global hackathon. Up to 100 teams from the builder track are admitted into Incubase, a global accelerator, where they receive virtual mentorship and support to launch their initial product versions.
From 913 initial projects, 50 finalists from diverse regions including Africa, APAC, Europe, Latin America, India, and North America were selected for Batch 2 of Incubase.
Demo Day Highlights
The Demo Day itself is a fast-paced event where each team typically has one slide and two minutes to present their innovation, with no questions allowed during the presentations. Over 700 teams applied for the startup track, and approximately 40 teams were selected to pitch live at DevConnect. The event includes a networking session, allowing founders to connect with investors and other attendees. Attendees receive an information packet on the presenting teams prior to their presentations.
Notable companies that have emerged from Base Batches include Noise, an AI-powered platform for customer insights, and Delta, a decentralized finance (DeFi) project focused on gamified options. Another featured project is Hydrax, which is building omni-liquidity solutions.
Goals and Impact
The primary goal of Base Batches Demo Day is to provide a platform for promising startups to gain visibility and secure funding. It also allows the public to see and potentially invest in the products that are being developed. The program aims to support builders at every stage, helping them go from an idea to a product, to a business, and ultimately to impacting millions of people worldwide.
Base Batches 2025 took place on November 17th, inside Devconnect, with presentations scheduled from 1 PM to 3 PM, followed by a networking event. The event was also live-streamed, allowing for a wider audience to participate and interact.
