In Gilan Province, in the city of Fuman, there is a historic fortress called Rudkhan Castle, also known as the “Thousand-Step Castle.” To reach it, you must climb a steep path of nearly a thousand steps. At the beginning, everyone heads upward with smiles and energy. But as you reach the middle of the way, breaths grow shorter. Those still climbing ask the people coming back down, “How much farther is it?” And the usual answer is, “Not much left…” So the steps continue, one by one. The fatigue is real, yet the desire to see the castle after all that effort keeps them moving.
I hope that after patience and perseverance in your own life, when you reach the peaks you aim for, a beautiful view appears before your eyes and beneath your feet, one that makes every step you climbed worthwhile.
