SporkDAO Board of Stewards nomination form for Spring 2025.
Nominees must:
* Be a member of the SporkDAO with at least 1000 $sSPORK.
* Have attended ETHDenver at least one year.
* Nominee’s legal name and wallet information must match the name and wallet on
the SporkDAO membership rolls. (When you staked)
Nominees must provide information about themselves for evaluation purposes.
As a board member, you are expected to actively participate in the governance
and strategic direction of the organization. Your primary responsibilities
include attending regular board meetings, contributing to discussions, and
making informed decisions that align with the organization's mission and goals.
Board members should possess a thorough understanding of the organization’s
operations, financial health, and strategic objectives. Additionally, you are
expected to collaborate effectively with other board members and management to
drive initiatives that promote growth and sustainability.
Expect approximately 4 hours per month for At-large, 8 hours per month for
Secretary, and 10 hours per month for Treasurer positions. During the event
season, that may double or triple.
As a Board member, you are also required to attend ETHDenver each year.
Board members also have a fiduciary duty to the organization, which involves
acting in the best interest of the organization and its stakeholders. This
includes overseeing financial management, ensuring compliance with legal and
regulatory requirements, and maintaining transparency and accountability in all
board activities. Board members are also expected to leverage their expertise

advocacy, or partnerships. A commitment to ethical governance and the ability to
balance strategic vision with operational considerations are essential qualities
for effective board leadership.
Responsibilities
The Board of Stewards of SporkDAO is responsible for overseeing the management
and operations of the organization and making decisions on behalf of the
members.
The board is responsible for setting policies and making strategic decisions on
behalf of SporkDAO. This includes setting goals, establishing policies and
procedures, and overseeing the financial management of the organization.
Authority: The board has the authority to make decisions and take actions on
behalf of the SporkDAO. This includes contracting SporkDAO leadership, entering
into contracts, and making other important decisions.

Duty of care: Board members are expected to exercise reasonable care and
diligence in carrying out their duties. This means that they should be informed
about SporkDAO's activities and make decisions in the best interests of the
organization.
