Watching a process manager thrash in weird confusion over a complicated and stressful paperwork process that shouldn’t be hard to keep straight if you’re paying proper attention.
Made me realize that detail orientation is about both caring about getting things right and never letting things go. But good detail people know how to balance both over time. Sometimes let things be wrong or let them go for a while as you spiral inwards in wrongness vs incompleteness phase space towards the origin. Sometimes lurching up in one or the other, introducing steps into the spiral.
