the topic of commodization is interesting particularly when referring to tech, digital products are easier to make comparable products but the rate of development and the axises compared against are constantly shifting.
Bring it to an open source environment and sure you can fork it but the execution is the differentiator
1. Understand the systems
2. Define the parameters of comparison clearly
models, blockspace etc. can be commoditized but in practice there's other effects at play which still differentiate and define success adoption
