My first published book was a short story titled Murder in Blue Lake and was the result of a “first line” writing prompt. I’d like to share what that prompt was, however as I published the story in 2016, I cannot recall it. But, just for fun, here are the opening paragraphs. While there are a lot of things to complain about in this fallen world, I choose to focus more on the good things. There are still so many things to be thankful for. Not included in the list below, because He is above all of them, is my savior, Jesus Christ. It’s by Him and through Him that I live and can enjoy this life, accepting both the good and the bad that comes with it.
