Didn't see this coming at all but hands down top dad experience
As a kid, playing Stardew Valley was an all-time favorite pastime, my happy place game; something to relax on. Single player at the time.
Flash forward and I get to wake up everyday to two little toddle girls asking "dada when can we play the farm game". Nothing like seeing your kids enjoy the things you did as a kid.
And everyday we sit down, we play and have fun, they learn time, seasons, numbers, how money works, routines, teamwork, among other things.
All subtly happening while disguised as playtime with dada 😎
Rising seemingly from out of nowhere, one of my favorite indie projects,
@chonksxyz is quietly gaining momentum.
@backseats and @marka recently going full-time and bringing onchain to the 3d world - lots of great supporters behind them, excited to see the next chapter unfold.
Out of all the business models I've seen for AI this one is highly underused and probably the most noteworthy in terms of better change management.
Performance Based Revenue -> (taking the humanistic side of taking jobs away out for a minute)
Classic AI example: picture a call center for a specific niche - hundreds of people.
AI handles call; if the call is handled and the user is deemed satisfied, the AI company would earn on the transaction.
If it deflects needing a human, there is no payment.
Aligns all parties first of all. AI continues to improve to avoid deflections. Company can scale into the technology while also gradually scaling down labor.
The change management component here is the unique piece and is an easier implementation.
There are companies doing this already but in the old age of data parsing.
Roads are wide open to here, still primitive and can overtake unaligned business models.
Food for thought
Truly thankful for my journey over the past year - retiring from full-time corporate to dad and dev has been the most awkward amazing experience of my adult life
Farcaster played such a big role in the move and can't thank everyone enough here for being there at a pivotal point
Happy Thanksgiving everyone
Been out of commission since yesterday - my back locked up and I can’t move. I think I tensed it up from my 12 hours coding away not realizing I was in bad posture
What do you do if you can only look up for the next 24 hours 😭
I’ve been making more of an effort to really critically debate subjects that matter.
I hate conflict and arguments but I’m really starting to love when you can hold an argument and both parties come out better from it.
It really is an underdeveloped skill and would probably make the world a far better place
oh boy just when you think you got this parenting thing down...
my 4 yo daughter has recently discovered rubbing on certain toys makes her feel "good"
currently feeling under leveled walking into a boss fight
I think I am going to leave this one to mom and follow her lead? What do you guys think? 🥶
