Dad keeps falling down. He’s the caregiver to his deaf wife with Alzheimer’s. Unable to recognize him, she attacks him while he is asleep. Most recently with bleach. He’s in the er now for a fall. She’s home alone and not answering for family. They are more than a thousand miles away from here.
It’s a set of circumstances that makes the heart ache.
