I’ve been following and thinking on the massive feedback dump surrounding @base.base.eth and creator+content coins.
The loudest feedback seems to be “there is no incentive to buy/trade tokenized content, especially when there is no direct tie-in to success and virality of the creator reflected in the token prices.
I have seen some try to solve for this by buying their own creator token up with fees from content tokens.
The biggest value of decentralized social for creators is a permissionless platform. The chain cannot be censored and there is no minimum follower count, view count, or other requirement to start earning.
The value prop for buyers and traders needs to be something more than trenching with weary eagle eyes day in and day out for a flash in the pan 10x.
