now imagine i’m a u.s. resident (i am not, but let’s just imagine)
i see trump talking about the “tariff dividend” of 2,000$ and the government finally coming back to work
i believe in both things so much that i want to anticipate the market borrowing money from my future self: i take 2,000$ and i buy crypto to anticipate the highest profits i can, with the “certainty” that i’ll get those back in a few days or weeks
since i want to have the highest profits, i won't likely buy bitcoin, because at most i can do a 2x, but most probably a 1.5x
i want to maximize returns, do a 10x
i look for the bitcoin alternative
it's zec
imagine how much zec can be bought this week
just imagine
ok yesterday's zec top was nonsense
but it's not going back to 40$
you were FUDing the top at around 200$ and it went down 125$
you were FUDing again when it peaked at 300$ and it retraced 30% to 200$
you couldn't believe it when it went to 375$, and were happy that it retraced again to 300$
it went to 480$ and you still thought this was a pump and dump, and it retraced -20% to 375$
then someone (prob blackrock) truly pumped it to 700$ (!) and you called the top (but me too), and it's prob now retracing to around 480-500$ to meet with the monthly trendline
i'm zodling, are you?
the starknet-style zcash L2 and the red bridge L1 may be the biggest leap for zcash along with tachyon, and provide IMMENSE value for privacy interactions
now, we're used to just shield our coins, with either zcash on their pools, or on on tornado cash
but when we need to USE those coins, like in DeFi, we have to be transparent
why can't we simply use DeFi PRIVATELY?
like, basically render explorers unusable by shielding everything: sender, recipient, amount, but also STATE DIFFS, that can be stored in UTXOs on the L1
no one would know what you did with your money, WHATEVER you did with it
if privacy goes everywhere and explorers are useless, i might go look for another job lol
joking, we're just now exploring and executing on a strategy for maybe the MOST POTENTIALLY PROFITABLE market segment
it's not over, it's just becoming much more exciting and high stake!
let me get this out: acp-77 and other initiatives were taken by ava labs and the foundation bc of specific market conditions
the original tokenomics and staking mechanics were perfect - in an ideal world
but the reality was very different: institutions cannot, by law, do a lot of stuff
for example, some can only have hardware on-premise, meaning that the data needs to be stored in the country where it's created
there’s a case to be made for non-fungible RWAs to be much more tradeable than crypto coins
non-fungible RWAs (tcg cards, collectibles in general) are also a form of art, other than some material that is considered valuable at some point in time
which means that, just like anything you buy and put in your house because you like it very much, you could also get bored with it over time and sell it because you think your life will be good even w/o that thing
like marie kondo would say, it does not give you joy anymore

roughly 36 hours left and we still miss a few approvals to move to the vote for the upcoming OP Security Council Cohort A Member election
we're an independent party, trying to stay agnostic but at the same time wanting to push the space in any direction
we were among the first to offer a unified view of the Superchain ecosystem with http://thesuperscan.io, launched in July 2023, which is now gaining more and more traction among Superchain developers.
we fully embrace the ether's phoenix vision - I personally was very passionate about how a crypto project (Optimism) could elevate the narrative about scaling ethereum, just like ethereum or even more.
we have a proven track record of working in the optimism ecosystem through the superscan, but we're also participating in other ecosystems like avalanche, where we're wardens of the avalanche bridge since its launch
here to vote: https://atlas.optimism.io/governance/roles/5
routescan now has 3 approvals out of 8 for the OP Security Council election
approvals are up until oct. 15th, so pls if you’re on the top 100 delegate pls consider voting for us
my vision is to bring an external, less biased opinion on scaling ethereum
we are more agnostic than most actors in op
we generally want to grow the pie, so we'll act in the best interest without looking at competition and ecosystem fights
and also, transparently, we're looking at increasing our brand authority, so we’ll act in the collective’s best interest bc it means giving us exposure and recognition

i was thinking that we built many mechanisms and primitives onchain, but the biggest one, the first, is still offchain: discovery
if you go to a wallet app, a dexscreener or a block explorer, the algorithm to choose which coin to feature is developed by the company maintaining the platform, and there’s either no way to read how it’s done (if it’s not open source) or to act on it
yes, many platforms, including social networks (more or less centralized, from X to farcaster) have multiple feed algorithms to choose from (following, for you, lists, etc.) but there’s no way to modify how a specific algorithm works in a decentralized manner

routescan applied to be a member of the OP Security Council - if you believe in us, please vote to get us elected
being in the security council is one more step in growing our reputation in the industry, and specifically in the ethereum-aligned portion that’s now dominated by etherscan
our most important contribution in the optimism collective and the superchain includes building https://thesuperscan.io, the only unified explorer for the superchain
we’re also working with partners to improve on the user experience for explorers, namely @aerodrome with the Transaction Receipt
if you’re one of the top 100 delegates, consider voting routescan for the op security council election

Farewell Warpcast, I just minted the new POAP! Get yours too and support Farcaster choooo chooo🚂! All proceeds from mint go to @purple DAO to support RetroPGF across Farcaster. Thanks @gabo@sandiforward.eth and 👨💻 @samuellhuber.eth
It's so weird that @vitalik.eth and the EF do a lot to reduce centralization and trustedness at every level of the tech and social stack, yet they fail to even properly acknowledge the centralization and trustedness of the block explorer monopoly.

So I just started a newsletter about what apps I use and why.
It seems so useless now that we're surrounded by AI, but this is not about which apps I have, but how I position them on the homescreen, why I choose them and my workflows.
This is something I've been asked a lot of times over the past 10 years, so I'm doing it as a newsletter, hopefully coming out every week.
Here's the first issue: https://paragraph.xyz/@homescreen/1
Love the movement around multichain-specific ERCs.
I'm contributing to the ERC-7785 for the onchain registry of chains (that would deprecate the repo-maintained, offchain chainlist.org) and I just noticed a proposal for a new ERC to simplify multichain addresses based on ENS.
Both ERCs would make for a perfect, complete address routing system not only on ethereum but across any EVM chain, whether it settles on Ethereum or not.
