Based Chicks on Base
Based Chicks is a collection that exists to help Eissa Kilo and his children Youssef & Farouk achieve their dream of achieving freedom, dignity, and safety in Canada. Eissa is a Syrian refugee who survived over a decade of tragedy in Syria, losing his parents and brothers to terror, and enduring three years of unjust torture as a teenager, imprisoned for trying to organize a peaceful protest against the dictatorship. Based Chicks was created in honor of Eissa's late son Musa, who tragically lost his life to last year to tuberculosis. Musa loved chickens and dream was to have a small chicken farm.
