Think about that woman who in the town hall with John McCain said something wild about Obama being a jihadist.
If Biden/Kamala/AOC was in that situation they would 1000% use that to talk about how their opponents are evil. John McCain just completely shut her down.
The level of violence in the United States either private or public sector is so unbelievably low by historical standards that when I see this panic about it my two big categories are
1. This person is not American, probably European or Canadian
2. This person is acting in extremely bad faith for political goals
Notice that people from Latin America who now live in Europe or the Anglosphere are generally not shocked by high levels of violence but Canadians or Europeans coming to the US/Latin America are
There’s a general impulse about crime where you go “well why did this idiot do this string of 5 really dumb things in a row” and most people basically think that way and it’s sometimes extremely hard to admit that freedom does in fact mean you’re allowed to be extremely dumb like that (up to a point)
It’s very funny to have a take and then think for a second and go hmm maybe that’s too harsh, is this too wild of a caricature of their opinion and then the very first replies are immediate confirmation of your original thought
As with every left wing issue, the objections to the methods or procedures of ICE raids will be used as a wedge to oppose the idea of them happening at all. The objection is not “ICE agents shouldn’t kill people” (as everybody agrees)
The objection is that illegal immigration is fine
This is gonna shock everybody but I think murder is bad, people who do it should be put on trial/should go to jail, and the first two don’t mean laws shouldn’t be enforced
Idk if that $7 monthly payment thing to stop Iranian citizens from protesting is real or not but I’m personally willing to take whatever is in my warplet rn and contribute to a fund for buying guns/ammo for anybody opposing the current government
(If we can actually somehow get those funds to somebody in Iran in a position to do this)
People talk about Oxford and Cambridge as these great colleges yet neither of them have ever been ranked top 25 in FBS let alone won a national championship
Funny that 60 minutes now is matter of factly saying that Maduro straight up lost the 2024 election (consistent with Trump 1, Biden and Trump 2 stance) when the online left at the time was claiming this was a right wing conspiracy
