you ever get to the end of a day and you’re hungry but you’re also tired so you can’t decide what to eat and you don’t want to eat too close to sleeping so you keep thinking until you eventually just give up and have sleep for dinner? no? just me?
the amount of missed opportunity in building products for crypto employees (people with every opportunity, reason, and desire to transact who are operating more like trad tech employees) is mind boggling to me
these people can literally tell you every reason people *should* do things but their revealed preference is still to rely on traditional systems
rather than convincing ourselves UX is the problem, we just need to start by changing this group's behavior...
self attested information continues to be one of the most underutilized design spaces in crypto
while everyone is hyperfixated on frictionless onboarding, I think about how valuable subjective information like preferences are when portable online
we have self driving cars and we are still shopping online without a website knowing our usual size.
still creating accounts. manually typing in our date of birth. searching things like "what terminal is this airline in at the airport i'm going to"
the internet helped us reach far and wide with the number of things we can find, actions we can take - but now we have the ability to add depth to everything.
and idk about you, but i'm more than willing to help out curating the best experience for myself rather than expecting automation to do it better than I could.
at least for now.
