One of the biggest sources of unhappiness is comparing yourself to others.
Focus on your own growth instead. Great things take time - stay patient, stay consistent.
Friday’s liquidation wiped out many traders - even those using just 1.5x leverage.
It’s heartbreaking to see so many people lose everything overnight. If you’re one of them, take a step back, breathe, and don’t give up. You can always rebuild.
Futures trading is brutal. Never park your entire portfolio in perps.
I get why people use leverage to grow faster, but always keep:
- A % in stablecoins or cash
- Some spot positions
So when the next wipeout happens (and it will), you’ve got something to rebuild with.
Bonus tip: set some stink bids near $0 - you may just very well pick up some coins cheap during the chaos

Presented at Token2049 couple of days ago. The number of tokens that we track at @GeckoTerminal is now 16.7 million and it is growing exponentially. At this growth rate, we will hit 100 million tokens by early 2027 and 1 billion tokens by 2030. We are all still so early on this crypto journey!

Just got back from a short break in Redang Island swimming with sea turtles and letting baby turtles out to the sea. Absolutely wonderful beach and experience. If you have a few days, do take the 1 hour direct flight from KL or Singapore to relax with the turtles.

People like to make fun of XRP but we really shouldn’t cause this is a coin that somehow has managed to capture user’s attention and has returned over 50,000% over the last 10 years.

Had lunch in Singapore today with a billionaire investor. Midway through, he asked me a question to probably test my intelligence and reasoning skills. His question:
“How many windows do you think there are in all the buildings in Singapore?”
I thought this was a very fascinating question and it got me thinking and making rough estimates to get some ballpark numbers. I ended up with a number that in retrospect was too optimistic.
What’s the most interesting “curveball” question that you have ever been asked - in an interview or over lunch?
