Testing something

Started the day at a side event where panels discussed the threat of “harvest now, decrypt later” attacks revealing unwanted secrets in the future and post-quantum cryptography schemes to help mitigate them. Ended the day at Meow Wolf’s Convergence Station which is an immersive art exhibition themed around the premise that a “quantum convergence event” caused four fictional worlds to collide.

Had a similar realization over the past couple months while retraining myself to be an agentic engineer. Now is the best time to double down on your own vision and seize your own means of value creation and distribution.

20% of my job now is writing specs. 80% of my job is me begging my agents to follow my style conventions, inline single-use functions and variables, name things consistently and put things in the right folders. Basically, the software equivalent of pulling shoelaces, untangling extension cords, and yelling at kids to clean their room 🍝
