@barmstrong my feeling about them is they aren’t novel and have been tried before in numerous iterations, extractive with most people getting the short end of the stick.
If someone coud show their use cases other than speculation than maybe that opinion would change
@nickysap did a great substack and many others on FC have gone in great detail why they think they aren’t the way forward .
I also feel that Base app is missing a golden opportunity to get people actually using web 3. There are numbers mini apps that are fulfilling that dream. Bracky, Betr, Bankr and dozens more.
Base is for Builders..amirite?
My second critique is that the app is not very functional for a social, no DM’s, quote or recasts and the UI isn’t that great.
Third, I’ve used the coinbase wallet for 5 years and now it’s less useful. No multiple addresses and the hide token function is gone so now it’s completely cluttered with scam tokens.
