Mount Erciyes, with its peak piercing the clouds, its perpetually snow-covered summit, and its majestic presence that evokes divine feelings, is the symbol of Kayseri. Holding the title of the largest mountain in Central Anatolia and the 5th largest in Turkey, Mount Erciyes maintains its importance throughout the year for winter tourism, mountain climbing, and plateau tourism, attracting a constant stream of visitors. When Kayseri is mentioned, the first natural wonder that comes to mind is Mount Erciyes, with its snow-white summit reaching towards the clouds in every season. Erciyes (3917m), an extinct volcano, is responsible for the formation of Cappadocia thanks to its eruptions 30 million years ago. Perhaps due to the snow that never melts, the Hittites gave it the name meaning "White Mountain." With its powdery snow, challenging climbing routes, rich flora and fauna, and springs, Mount Erciyes attracts ski enthusiasts, athletes, nature lovers, and adventure seekers in every season.
