kinda weird to have sent two USDC transactions to coinbase and the mainnet one (which was the 2nd transaction) was cleared quite fast, while base is still pending.
scrolled through video feed and it didn’t take long to see some tiktok and instagram videos with trending audio/music.
not an expert, but i see a copyright infringement issue being created.
showing the longer films today (~30 min in total) to Nicolas Perez, the guitar builder in the doc. Nervous, excited, everything all together! Genuinely hoping he enjoys it!
also preparing many social friendly cuts + photos I took at the same time during the shooting. It was exhausting, but nice to see it all taking shape.
in the middle of all the shit i've been having to deal with in my legal case, here's something I'm looking forward to: in about 1h, I'll go check a cinema room that might be the place I'll screen my documentary project :)
farcaster is cool, but as much as I'd like to tell people about it, i find myself going for other apps instead. recently, it's happened more and more.
speaking for myself, as someone who relies mostly on visuals (photography specially), and also believes art plays a fundamental role in the space, the image compression on FC (app) has become, once again, a big blocker for me (like in 2023). it's brutal compared to other apps and i cant justify the time spent creating farcaster-only files to then see an already optimised image getting crushed on the feed. 2y have passed and not much has been improved - or it got downgraded more recently, i dont even know anymore. gifs are choppy as well. as a non-pro sub, the 2 images limit (farcaster only) is also a kind of an bummer. anyway, if what's shared doesn't look good, difficult to look away. at least for me.
no conclusion, just a brain dump. and apologies for not being so positive.
2 scenes (screen grabs from the film) that I'm in love with - those who know me understand how unusual it is for me to say stuff like this haha but yeah, it's been an absolute joy to be editing this and i'm very happy about how it's turning out.
that was apparently a lie. Doing some adjustments and I’m currently on v7-current. Looking forward to getting to the version when I add -final-final to the file’s name
editing main film: ✅
it's clocking 16min46s. The longest film I've ever made. And it's absolutely liberating to think that it feels like this is what is needed instead of applying platforms' constraints and short form trends.
next steps:
- audio processing
- soundtrack(s) adjustments
- colour grading
