Kelly Werder – the Nounish Professor -- is an Instructor for the Daveler Kauanui School of Entrepreneurship at Florida Gulf Coast University, with Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School with a focus on Intellectual Property, and an MBA from the Sawyer School of Business. After law school, Kelly spent six years at Thomson & Thomson, the world leader in Trademark & Copyright research before moving into academia.
Recognizing the opportunities developing in the crypto/NFT space, Kelly developed a Special Topics course on Blockchain Applications to help her entrepreneurship students take advantage of this unique moment in time, including launching the FloriNouns NFT project with a small grant from NounsDAO. She has since become quite active in Nouns and related projects, and currently serves as the community resident for Nouns Builder, a no-code DAO building tool and hosts BuilderBox Twitter Spaces. She also serves on the TIMEpieces’ Community Council (TIME Magazine’s web3 initiative) and co-hosts The Good News Show Twitter Spaces. She now teaches two related courses: the Blockchain basics course and NFTs & the Metaverse.
