Ever since Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Mane and a lot more of the hard core football players transferred out of European football, I have not enjoyed watching football. All we chant about now is just goals the forwards are scoring. The good old days of turning the tv on not because you’re going to see a tap in goal or header from corner but because even if the game ends as a goalless draw, you’re definitely going to see a lot of take ons, clinical finishing, well timed tackles (or dangerous from S.Ramos) or some acrobatic stuff with a lot of team build up and linkup plays (Ronaldo + Marcelo; Messi + Suarez; Kane + Son; Robben + Ribery) and some intense midfield battles (good old verrati against S.Busquets) and those dangerous swerve goals or power shot. Need to reconnect and stop watching everyone passing their way from flank to flank just to find the perfect time to cross 😔
